East Loch Tay fishing for trout, pike and perch.
Loch Tay (East end) – Bank fishing permits issued on behalf of East Loch Tay Angling Club
Loch Tay runs for 15 miles south-west of Kenmore to Killin. With Ben Lawers (Perthshire's highest Munro) looming to the north and the hills of Remony and Glen Quaich to the south, the loch offers fishing mainly for wild brown trout, along with some pike and perch. Approximately half (the eastern half) of the loch is run by East Loch Tay Angling Club, the western end is run by Killin Angling Club.
The loch is sandwiched between two roads: the A827 runs along the north bank, and a minor, cycle-friendly road runs from Kenmore to Killin along the south bank.
Loch Tay is protected and overseen by a Protection Order, which runs all along the Tay system. In order to fish on Loch Tay, a permit is a legal requirement. Permits can be obtained through this website. Please note some isolated areas are private, and no fishing is allowed on these stretches (see map).
Prices: Day: £7.50; Week: £30.00.
Permits for Loch Tay must be obtained prior to fishing.
